Devon C. Allen Obituary, Death – Devon Christopher Allen, a cherished sibling, grandchild, uncle, nephew, and companion, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 31, due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Allen was 31 years old. Devon was born in Kenton, Ohio, on June 1, 1992. In addition to numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, he is survived by his parents, Don and Stacy Risner and Matt Cox, two sisters, Jessica (Brad) Brown and Megan (Patrick) Cook, his grandparents, Linda Allen, Larry Cox, and Doug Risner. His grandparents, Bill Allen, Myra Risner, Ellen Cox, and Susie Gildow, predeceased him in death.

Devon graduated from Benjamin Logan High School in 2010. Devon proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces from 2010 to 2013 after graduating. He was a member of the U.S. Army. Devon was renowned for his commanding stature, magnanimous nature, and unique smile. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, socializing with family and friends, and napping. He also delighted in preparing delectable meals in the kitchen or on the barbecue. He enjoyed viewing football, listening to music, and playing cards. He was an avid Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes supporter. Devon was most ecstatic to be expecting his first nephew in April 2024; he was the cherished uncle of his two nieces.

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., family and friends will convene at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, located at 306 N. Elizabeth St. in Belle Center, Ohio. The Belle Center funeral home will host a memorial service on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by his grandfather, Doug Risner, Sr. The funeral will proceed to Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, where the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard will conduct the interment with military honors.
