Robert Andre Barletta Obituary – BRLETTA On August 8, 2011, at 1:46 PM, Dr. William E. Barletta, Sr., who was 89 years old, passed away. He was originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and lived in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He happily served Thibodaux and Morgan City for more than 65 years, sharing his love and expertise for dentistry. Among many other boards, he served on the Bayou Board of Dentistry, LDA, and ADA.
He spent many years sharing the gift that God had given him—his hands—with a large number of people in the neighborhood. In addition to his sister Anita Gillespie, Dr. William Barletta is survived by his stepchildren Shane Gonzales and wife Veronica, Cindy Oubre and husband Nathan, Kim Ledet and husband Terry, and his children William Barletta, Jr. and wife Debbie, Joseph Barletta and wife Shannon, Michael Barletta, Mario Barletta, Carlos Barletta,
Lisa Dodds and husband Will, Katherine DiStefano and husband Frank, and Angela Graver and husband James. His mother, Catherine Barletta-Paz, father, Dr. Constantino Barletta-Paz, brother, Dr. Frank Barletta-Paz, and Rosemary Mumphrey Barletta all passed away before him. Many people adored Dr. William E. Barletta, and he will be sadly missed.
On August 11, 2011, there was a visitation at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux, Louisiana, from 8 AM until the funeral hour. August 11, 2011, at 11 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Interment: Thibodaux, Louisiana’s St. Joseph Cemetery.
