William Freer Obituary, Death – On August 4, 2015, William T. Freer, who was 90 years old, passed away while sleeping quietly. He was the son of Samuel Freer, who passed away, and Irene Freer, who also passed away, and was born on August 24, 1924 in Ticonderoga, New York. His cherished daughter Margaret “Peggy” Dean and his brother Charles Freer both passed away before him.

He is left by his wife of 44 years, Carole Sue Freer, three sons, William Jr., Richard, and Robert Freer, three stepsons, Kevin, Douglas, and David Schwartz, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was married to Carole Sue Freer for 44 years. In addition, he is survived by a large number of cherished friends, both in this city and in New York. After graduating from high school in New York City, he went on to study art at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.

During World War II, he was stationed on the U.S.S. Wichita throughout the entirety of his four years of military service. He spent all of his professional life working in advertising as an account executive, specialising in sales and commercial art. His career spanned four decades. In 2004, he and his wife relocated from Shokan, New York to Tucson, Arizona.

There, he was able to pursue his interests in painting, golf, and taking lengthy strolls along a scenic nature trail. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him will mourn his passing. As per his instruction, there will be no food or drink provided. He hopes that his loved ones will be able to commemorate his life in whatever manner is most meaningful to them. Donations to a charity of your choosing can be made in lieu of flowers as a remembrance to the deceased.
