Eddie, a resident of Laconia, Indiana, departed on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eddie was an employee at McCrite Milling in New Albany, where he brought dedication and passion to his work. His zest for life manifested in his love for the outdoors, and he was an avid enthusiast of hunting, fishing, bow fishing, archery, and golf. Eddie often described himself as a “jack of all trades, but master at none,” showcasing his humble and genuine nature. A selfless individual, Eddie was always ready to drop everything to lend a helping hand to those in need. His true pride and joy in life were his children, whom he cherished dearly. Eddie had a particular passion for sharing his knowledge of bows and archery, especially with children, leaving a lasting impact on those he mentored.
Born on January 26, 1984, in New Albany, Indiana, to Sherry Kennedy and the late Embery Heil, Sr., Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Beth (Fettes) Heil, and their children: Harley James, Madison Fettes, Austin Heil, Paige Underhill, Kloie Heil, and Kylee Heil. He is also survived by his siblings: Embery Heil, Jr. (Karen), Tina Heath, and Theresa Moore. Eddie’s family extends beyond blood, including his great-nephew, Skyler Heil (Natalie), and numerous extended family members and friends.
