Mac Moxley Obituary, Death – Dorothy L. Moxley, a cherished member of the Burleson community, will be honored in funeral services at Marystown Baptist Church in Joshua, Texas, on Saturday, July 9, 2011, commencing at ten o’clock in the morning. The service, overseen by Bro. Tony Tawater and Bro. Bill Klinglesmith, will pay tribute to her life, followed by interment at Chalk Mountain Cemetery. In remembrance, a visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011, from six to eight o’clock in the evening at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne.
Pallbearers, including Mac Perry, Travis Miller, Rene Martinez, Justin Duffy, Jay Derington, and David Moxley, chosen for their significance in Dorothy’s life, will support her final journey. Born to Addie Bell (Sandlin) and J. R. Roberts on September 24, 1937, in Nemo, Texas, Dorothy ventured through life with resilience and love. She united in marriage with Sam Moxley on May 4, 1956, in Cleburne, Texas, building a family bound by devotion.
Her affiliation with Marystown Baptist Church and dedication as a homemaker reflected her steadfast commitment to both faith and family. While mourning Dorothy’s departure, the memory of her parents and her son, Troy Moxley, who preceded her in passing, remains etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Sam Moxley, residing in Burleson; her sons, John Moxley and his wife, Donna, of Alvarado, and Keith Moxley of Burleson; her daughters, Cathy Weichsel and her husband, Brad, of North Richland Hills, and Vicki Perry and her husband, Larry, of Burleson.
Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Franklin Roberts of Glen Rose, Johnny Roberts and his wife, Tee, of Ennis, and Tommy Roberts of Burleson. Dorothy L. Moxley’s legacy endures through the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the community she enriched with her presence. As her loved ones gather to bid their farewells, they also gather to celebrate a life that has left an indelible mark of love and dedication.
